Great value and service

We stayed at the rex for about 9 days while on holiday in Riccione. We picked the Rex because they communicated well with us via email before our trip about the hotel, prices, and options. We chose the “all-inclusive” package which included all meals (plus wine at lunch and dinner) and an umbrella and chairs on the beach the whole stay. Use of the pool was only 5 Euros extra a day and our kids (4 and 6) loved the option of going in the pool rather than the ocean sometimes.

I was there for a water polo tournament which was about 2k away and the hotel gave us bikes each day (with kid seats) so we could get back and forth to the pool. Aside from the somewhat grumpy night watch guy, our stay was excellent. And because my Italian is basically nonexistant, my experience with the night watch guy could have been better as he just wanted their bikes back one night when we came home late using a bus and had to leave the bikes down the road (Couldn’t take the sleeping kids on the bikes!).

The hotel is family run and the staff is super friendly and very accommodating with all of your questions as clueless tourists.

The other reason we chose this hotel is because they gave us 2 rooms, one for us and an adjoining room for the kids. It was great to be able to give the kids their own room, and once in bed, we could have some privacy to watch tv or read without worrying about noise. The bonus too was 2 bathrooms to use! The rooms are a bit on the small side, but super clean and fairly quiet since it’s on the beach side, not the main road. They gave the family all “Rex” t shirts which was nice, and the food at each meal was well put together and tasty.
